“My biggest take away was the opportunity to learn, through actual cases, about the differences between the Japanese and other countries’ legal systems and the business customs of these countries, including differences in the work handled by attorneys. During my internship, I sat in on meetings and was involved in preparations for cases handled by the firm. I was able to learn about the work flow through interacting directly with clients, discussing details with other attorneys, and reading and analyzing past case materials. I accompanied attorneys from the Litigation Department to court and had opportunities to observe litigation cases and discussions in court.”
