JLPW Legal Services Myanmar Co. Ltd.

Established in early 2013, JLPW Legal Services (Myanmar) Co., Ltd. is committed to provide dedicated personalised services to our clients to help their business / undertakings grow and thrive in Myanmar and around the Asean region.

Our team consists of a number of multi-lingual professionals who serves as the primary contact point between our clients and our other practice groups.

We understand good business culture and corporate environment very well, and we are also familiar with the business and regulatory environment in Myanmar and in many parts of the Asean region.

JLPW Legal Services (Myanmar) Co. Ltd. is able to provide professional legal services such as advising on corporate and commercial transactions, joint ventures, company incorporation, secretarial services and foreign direct investments.

Our lawyers in Yangon have had substantial experience both in the government and private sector advising on foreign investment and doing business in Myanmar, with special expertise in mining, resources, energy, agriculture and forestry. Highly trained and favourably adept to local demands, our team includes a former Director of the Office of the Attorney General of Myanmar.

Our Senior Myanmar Advocate has authored eight legal books, including “General Index of Myanmar Laws” in English and Burmese, “Basic Facts about Business Law”, and “The Art of Legislative Drafting” in Burmese. He has also written many articles, in English and Burmese, on various legal subjects for magazines, journals and newspapers.

He is also serving as a member of the Financial and Legal Affairs Commission of the National Assembly of Myanmar. He drafts and submits legislations to the Myanmar parliament, participates in drafting meetings and renders legal advice to the parliamentary committees and commission.
